Where to next

Three things a counterparty needs before a first call: what we hold, how we move it, and who to speak to.

01

Commodities

Chrome, coal, manganese and magnetite — grades, HS codes and parcel sizes.

02

Capabilities

Trading, rail freight, siding management and material holding — the full pit-to-port chain.

03

Contact

Routed by counterparty type — buyers, producers and suppliers, general. Named contacts, direct email.

Position

A trading house, not an introducer.

IT AND E (Pty) Ltd is an established South African bulk commodities business. We trade chrome, coal, manganese and magnetite, and we move them — rail freight, siding management and material holding, from the pit through to the port.

That combination is what separates a trading house from an introducer. Material is sourced at the mine, railed on wagons we book and manage, weighed and stockpiled at sidings we run, verified by independent assay and loaded to the vessel. A counterparty deals with one entity across the whole chain — not a series of introducers, each taking a margin and none carrying the risk.

Because the freight, the siding and the stockpile are ours to control, we can commit to a laycan and hold to it. That is usually the difference between an offer and a shipment.

What we do

Pit-to-port solutions in bulk commodities

Four services that work together. Most counterparties come for one and end up using all four, because the handover between them is where bulk cargo usually goes wrong.

Trading

01

Physical trade in chrome, coal, manganese and magnetite. We buy at the mine and sell to the end user, taking title and carrying the position.

Rail freight

02

Wagon bookings, train planning and execution on the export corridors, so tonnage moves to a schedule rather than to whatever road capacity is free.

Siding management

03

Operating the siding itself — tipping, loading, weighbridge, wagon turnaround and the paperwork each movement generates.

Material holding

04

Stockpile capacity at the siding to accumulate a parcel, blend to grade and hold it until the vessel is nominated.

Execution

From the mine to the vessel.

Sourcing, rail freight, siding handling and stockpiling, independent assay, export documentation and payment structuring — each step is set out on the capabilities page, including who performs it and what the buyer receives.
