What we trade

Chrome, coal, manganese and magnetite — plus other bulk commodities on enquiry. Every line is traded and moved through the same pit-to-port chain.

Chrome

Chrome concentrate

Metallurgical-grade chromite concentrate recovered from the Bushveld Igneous Complex — the LG and MG chromitite seams that hold roughly three quarters of the world's known chrome resource. Our longest-running line, and the one with the most detailed specification on file.

The rest of the range

Coal, manganese, magnetite and more

All of these move through the same pit-to-port chain: railed on wagons we book, handled at sidings we run, stockpiled until the vessel is nominated. Each is transacted against a confirmed mandate — we carry no speculative position, and we do not offer material we have not sourced.

Thermal coal RB1, RB2 and RB3 export grades, 4,800 – 5,850 kcal/kg NAR, screened and washed to buyer specification. Domestic grades on request. HS 2701.12 / 2701.19
Manganese ore Lumpy and fines from the Kalahari manganese field. Mn 36 % and up, sized to buyer requirement, railed to Durban or Port Elizabeth. HS 2602.00
Magnetite Dense medium separation and coal-washing grades, plus iron-bearing concentrate. Specific gravity and sizing to specification. HS 2601.11
Chrome, other fractions Lumpy and friable chrome ore, and chemical-grade concentrate, where a buyer specification calls for it. HS 2610.00
Other bulk commodities If it moves by rail in bulk and there is a buyer at the other end, ask. We take on new commodity lines where the corridor and the siding capacity already exist. On enquiry
